Des 4 régimes étudiés, le plus efficace a été Atkins. Plus de 50 autres études ont abouti à la même conclusion. SOUHAITEZ-VOUS SURMONTER OU ÉVITER DES PROBLÈMES DE SANTÉ ? Les résultats d'un régime varient d'une personne à l'autre. Mais si vous suivez les conseils du Nouveau Régime Atkins il y a fort à parier, comme cela a été observé dans des études cliniques que : les triglycérides et les marqueurs d'inflammation diminueront si vous souffrez d'hypertension artérielle, votre pression artérielle devrait se normaliser si le taux de sucre dans votre sang et le taux d'insuline sont trop élevés vous devriez constater une amélioration. Par exemple, vous pouvez désormais consommer de nombreux légumes - et ce dès le début du programme. Le livre vous donnera également des clés pour manger à l'extérieur en toute tranquillité, quelle que soit la cuisine choisie. Les corps gras sont maintenant parfaitement équilibrés. LES MEDECINS AUSSI ONT CHANGE D'AVIS SUR ATKINS Pour le Pr Walter Willett, qui est à la tête de la plus importante unité de recherche en nutrition au monde, l'Ecole de santé publique de Harvard, Atkins a été injustement attaqué. Il explique que " ce que le Dr Atkins disait il y a plus de 30 ans est vrai, à savoir que si nous diminuons notre consommation de glucides à un niveau plutôt bas, il sera plus facile de contrôler ses calories et de favoriser la perte de poids. Il se trouve qu'il y a là un élément fort de vérité. Un bon nombre d'études récentes ont examiné cela de manière très détaillée, en comparant des régimes pauvres en graisses et riches en glucides à des régimes pauvres en glucides, et en général, les gens ont perdu plus de poids avec les régimes pauvres en glucides. C'est dans cette phase de démarrage que vous allez entrainer votre corps à brûler les graisses, ce qui va déclencher une perte de poids rapide. Au cours de la phase 2, dite de perte de poids continue, vous commencerez à ajouter à votre régime d'autres aliments. Progressivement - par paliers de 5 g -, vous réintroduirez ainsi davantage de glucides dans votre alimentation jusqu'au moment où vous aurez trouvé la quantité de glucides que vous pouvez consommer sans cesser de perdre du poids. À la phase 3, dite de préstabilisation, l'éventail des aliments autorisés sera étendu à d'autres fruits, à certains féculents et, pour finir, à des céréales complètes. Lorsque votre poids sera resté stable pendant un mois, vous serez prêt(e) à passer à l'étape suivante. La phase 4, ou stabilisation définitive, n'est pas une phase à proprement parler : c'est en réalité un véritable art de vivre.
